Broker's Comments
Those of you looking for a trailer-sailer may find exactly what you want here. Big enough for a family of six, but small and light enough to tow behind the family car, the water-ballasted Catalina 250 solves a lot of problems for those who don't want to keep their boat on the same berth each year, or simply like a regular change of cruising grounds. Surprisingly light and spacious below decks, this engaging small yacht looks just right. I like its many clever touches, such as the way the hatch garage pops up to increase headroom, and the saloon table that lives in its own dedicated space under the forepeak when not in use, but can be quickly deployed in the saloon or cockpit as required. Re-engined in 2010, the package includes a purpose-built trailer.
