Broker's Comments
A group of sailing enthusiasts in South Africa bought this boat with the specific intention of preparing and competing with her in the 2014 Cape to Rio Race where she achieved 3rd place. While she is now in exceptional condition for her age and mileage and after some extensive refurbishment and beautifully prepared for the race they are now looking to put her on the market. She is currently based in Cape Town. The boat has never had any optimisation work, and is in the same configuration as when she was launched, so there is scope to do this and further improve her performance. However, optimised or not she is a really fun, rewarding and simple boat to sail, who has really looked after her owners and various charterers, and remains a fantastic choice either for a first solo circumnavigation, as a charter boat, or as simply a good fun boat for cruising if you want something different! Well maintained with loads of spares and absolutely ready to go.
Passed RORC category 1 offshore inspection Dec 2013
IRC measurement certificate is current (renewed Dec 2013).
